Families of all ages are invited to discover the enchantment of Hawaii on a one-week journey that welcomes you to three tropical island playgrounds. Two- and three-night stays in beachfront resorts offer a well-balanced mix of sightseeing, interactive cultural discoveries and lots of family fun.
Day 1 – Arrive Oahu Tour Begins: Honolulu Airport. E Komo Mai! Welcome to Hawaii! A transfer is included from Honolulu Airport to the Royal Hawaiian. Learn how to make leis and dance the hula tonight at our welcome reception, enjoying cultural traditions that began in ancient Hawaii. Meals D Day 2 – A visit to Pearl Harbor and a surfing lesson Join us for a sightseeing tour of Oahu this morning, fondly called “the gathering place.” Born of two volcanoes whose mountain ranges form the backbones of the island, Oahu is home to mist-shrouded rainforests, jungle-clad roads, and protected crystalline bays perfect for snorkeling. Visit its most poignant sites at Pearl Harbor and see the USS Arizona Memorial, a lasting testament to the gallant service personnel who lost their lives here on December 7, 1941. Take surfing lessons this afternoon at beautiful Waikiki Beach, where gentle waves can offer a long ride even for beginners, then enjoy an afternoon of Hawaiian beach fun. Your hotel’s location is perfect, as the oceanfront setting along Waikiki provides memorable moments sunrise to sunset. Meals B Day 3 – Fly to Maui / Go under water in an Aquarium Fly to Maui for a two-night stay, renowned as one of the top beach vacation spots in the world. Known as the “Valley Isle,” you’ll see a lush landscape alive with the ancient legends, traditions, and rich historic legacy of her early Polynesian settlers. Begin your visit with a journey to the bottom of the sea at the Maui Ocean Center, uniquely dedicated to Hawaii’s marine life and the best place to meet the underwater residents of the islands. See spectacular live coral displays and Hawaii’s beloved green sea turtles; awe at close encounters with sharks, rays and colorful tropical fish – while learning about Hawaii’s natural history and cultural heritage. Continue on to the Maui Prince Hotel, where a tropical wonderland awaits on the perfect smile of a beach. Meals BLD Day 4 – Ho’omana’o Experience – “to remember” You’re on a Hawaii vacation to enjoy the sun, enjoy the ocean, and find out about Hawaiian life, past and present. Spend the morning at the fascinating Ho’omana’o Experience, a celebration of hundreds of years of traditions that define Hawaii today. The Aloha Welcome Chant is followed by a hula performance, a delicious Hawaiian-style breakfast, and interactive cultural encounters where you’ll experience the traditions of the early Hawaiians, see demonstrations and participate in activities such as poi pounding, throw-net fishing and kapa cloth making. Afterwards, spend some time in the coastal old whaling town of Lahaina, and return to your resort where endless possibilities exist for a day at the beach – or poolside. Meals B Day 5 – Big Island Fly to the Big Island, which is home to the largest and most active volcano in the world. You’ll have an opportunity to see some of the Pacific’s most bizarre volcanic scenery at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Lava tubes, craters, steam fissures and a landscape that looks more like the moon than a tropical Hawaiian island are just a few of the natural wonders found in this unusual national park. This area so resembles the moon that the astronauts on the first moon landing trained here. Arrive at your fabulous oceanfront resort for a three-night stay – Hilton Waikoloa Village is a destination all in itself, and is really a swimmer’s paradise. Meals BLD Day 6 – A day as you please and a luau The most difficult decision today will be where to swim first, and how to make the most of your day! With three pools, a lagoon and the warm Pacific Ocean as swimming options your family may not even get to the tennis courts – or the golf courses – or the sand volleyball court... You also have an opportunity to do some sightseeing by helicopter today, for an additional $399 per person. End your day at a Hawaiian luau, where the food and entertainment are pure magic. The luau is one of Hawaii’s oldest celebrations; tonight you’ll have a chance to try traditional Hawaiian food, discover the music and dance of different Polynesian cultures, and who knows – you may even appear on stage yourself dancing the hula! Meals BD Day 7 – A catamaran cruise and an evening at a ranch The crystal-clear waters off the shores of the Big Island are the perfect place for Hawaii’s marine life to call home. A cruise aboard a sleek catamaran is enjoyable – shore and surf are sublime; educational – these waters are a true natural history paradise; and most of all – fun! All members of your family spend the remainder of the day as they please. Join us for a special evening on a historic 8,500-acre working ranch in the Kohala Mountains. History comes alive as stories are shared about the arrival of the Paniolos. You’ll have dinner; take pictures with the working ranch horses; share the past with guitar-playing Paniolos who tell their story with music; and participate in horse-shoe throwing, roping, s’more making over a crackling fire... maybe even a chance to try your hand at branding! And you’ll never forget stargazing through a deluxe celestial telescope – it’s why we call this Hawaii vacation Magical Hawaii. Meals BD Day 8 – Journey Home Tour ends: Big Island of Hawaii. A transfer from Hilton Waikoloa Village to Kona Airport is included; fly home anytime. Allow a minimum of two hours for flight check-in. Meals B
